J.T. Realmuto Diagnosed With Bruised Muscle
J.T. Realmuto (knee) was removed from Tuesday's game against the Washington Nationals after he was hit in the left knee by a foul ball in the bottom of the seventh inning. He has been diagnosed with a bruised muscle. Phillies manager Joe Girardi stated that he doesn't believe a stint on the injured list will be needed for Realmuto, but the Phillies star will be reevaluated prior to Wednesday's game. If he's forced to miss time, Andrew Knapp would become the team's primary catcher.
