J.J. Arcega-Whiteside On The Bubble
3 years agoPhiladelphia Eagles wide receiver J.J. Arcega-Whiteside will be on the bubble in training camp. The Athletic's Bo Wulf thinks the chances of Arcega-Whiteside ever becoming a useful NFL receiver are low because of his meager production in the first two years of his career. But with a wide receiver specialist as a head coach, the Eagles could give him one more chance to prove he belongs alongside DeVonta Smith, Jalen Reagor, Travis Fulgham, Greg Ward and Quez Watkins. John Hightower, who was one of the least productive wideouts in the league last year on a per-snap basis, is expected to be a roster casualty this summer. Arcega-Whiteside has just 14 catches (30 targets) for 254 yards and one touchdown in 24 games (five starts) in his first two NFL seasons.
