Islam Makhachev remains at the top of the lightweight division, defeating Alexander Volkanovski by first-round knockout in the main event of UFC 294 on Saturday. The two champions fought for a second time in Saturday's main event in Abu Dhabi, and once again it was Makhachev who emerged victorious. Makhachev unloaded a vicious head kick that knocked Volkanovski down before some ground-and-pound punches secured a devastating first-round knockout. In 3:06 of action, Makhachev landed 24 significant strikes. With this win, Makhachev settled whatever debate remained from his first win over Volkanovski.--Alen Kurbasic
