Isiah Kiner-Falefa Hitting Ninth Tuesday
3 years agoTexas Rangers shortstop Isiah Kiner-Falefa was dropped to ninth in the batting order on Tuesday against Detroit Tigers right-hander Jose Urena. Kiner-Falefa has mainly served as the team's leadoff hitter this year, so this move to the bottom of the order will drastically affect his fantasy value, mainly in DFS. The 26-year-old is hitting .118/.151/.118 with no homers or RBI and 10 strikeouts in his last 53 plate appearances in the last two weeks, so the Rangers will try to take a little bit of pressure off of him. Fantasy managers in season-long leagues may want to bench him until he gets going again. Brock Holt, who is starting at third base, will hit leadoff on Tuesday. Holt will carry added appeal as a deep DFS sleeper, but he's also hitting just .225/.314/.312 with a homer, 14 RBI and two steals in 138 at-bats, so don't expect much.
