Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov has been awarded a one-year, $3.55 million contract in an arbitration decision. Samsonov was looking for $4.9 million at the arbitration hearing on Friday, while the Maple Leafs submitted an offer at $2.4 million. The Russian netminder, who came off a one-year, $1.8 million deal, will be heading into his second season in Toronto after enjoying a nice debut campaign. He posted a 27-10-5 record while registering a 2.33 goals-against average with a .919 save percentage and four shutouts. With a very strong team playing in front of him, Samsonov is set to remain a top goalie option next season in fantasy hockey.--Taavi Pailk - RotoBaller
