Toronto Maple Leafs goaltender Ilya Samsonov made 16 saves and allowed three goals in Thursday's 4-3 victory against the Flyers. Samsonov cruised through the first and second period before allowing a pair of goals in the final frame to bring the Flyers within one after the Maple Leafs took a comfortable three-goal lead. Samsonov improves to 9-0-0 on home ice and an overall record of 10-3-0 through 13 starts. The 25-year-old has been excellent for the Maple Leafs in the first half of the 2022-23 season with a 2.07 goals against average, two shutouts, and a .924 save percentage.
