11 months agoIan Poulter came out firing at the WGC-Bridgestone Invitational. The Englishman fired a dazzling eight-under par 62 in the first round Thursday afternoon. Poulter tallied eight birdies and no bogeys in the round that was just one stroke shy of the course record. The Euro Tour veteran looked in control of his game all day and led the field in total strokes gained. The eight-under par score was good enough to give Poulter the first round lead.
