Ian Kennedy Shines In No-Decision
7 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Ian Kennedy continued his on-again, off-again relationship with good pitching by throwing eight sparkling shutout innings against the Reds on Tuesday. Kennedy stymied Cincy as he struck out five and only allowed three hits, but he was robbed of the win when closer Kelvin Herrera chunked the save opportunity and the team eventually lost in extra innings. Kennedy is a far cry from dependable, but he has thrown two good outings in a row. Truly desperate owners can always turn to Kennedy in hopes that they catch one of his good ones instead of one where he allows five or more runs, which has happened in five of his 14 starts this season.
