Ian Desmond Triples For Second Straight Game
6 years agoColorado Rockies first baseman Ian Desmond has cranked it up over the last few weeks, and he drilled his fourth triple of the season in the final game before the All-Star break. Though he's still only batting .235 for the season, Desmond was on fire before the break. He'll start the second session by trying to build on a six-game hit streak, and he's hitting .319 since June 26 with three doubles, three triples, three homers, 14 RBI, 11 runs scored, and four stolen bases. Not bad for an 18-game period. Desmond could easily end up a top-25 player for the second half of the season if his batting average continues to rebound.
