Hyun Jin Ryu Lands On Injured List Again
3 years agoThe Toronto Blue Jays placed left-hander Hyun Jin Ryu (forearm) on the 15-day injured list on Thursday and selected the contract of right-hander Jeremy Beasley from the minor leagues in a corresponding move. Ryu left his start early on Wednesday against the Chicago White Sox with left forearm tightness and will now land on the injured list for the second time this year due to forearm issues -- he missed around four weeks the first time around. The 35-year-old southpaw has been disappointing this year, allowing 16 earned runs on 31 hits while striking out 16 and walking four in 27 innings over his first six starts. Ross Stripling is expected to take Ryu's spot in the starting rotation for Toronto.
