Hunter Greene Aiming To Put Rough Spring Behind Him Saturday
9 months agoCincinnati Reds right-hander Hunter Greene will be looking to put a rough spring behind him on Saturday afternoon when he takes on the visiting Washington Nationals. Greene was touched up for a 7.20 ERA with 10 walks allowed in five starts and 15 innings pitched in Cactus League action. He still punched out 19 hitters in that time and his spring ERA is somewhat skewed by one outing in which he allowed seven earned runs in 4 1/3 innings while his final spring tune-up consisted of one earned run surrendered in three innings of work. The hard-throwing righty posted a 4.82 ERA in 22 starts last season, although his 3.74 SIERA suggests he was far better than that while he punched out a hefty 30.5% of the hitters he faced. He is a strong bounce-back candidate for fantasy managers this season given his underlying data.
