Homer Bailey Scheduled For Wednesday's Start
6 years agoThe Kansas City Royals have finally stopped being coy and officially announced that Homer Bailey will start Wednesday's game against the Twins. Bailey hasn't officially been added to the major league roster yet, but he was seen in the clubhouse on Saturday, spoiling any possible surprise. The 32-year-old is a prime example of the power that a good prospect pedigree can bring as Bailey continues to find regular work even though he hasn't posted an ERA under 5.00 since 2014. The former first-rounder doesn't bring much to the fantasy table as he struck out just 6.35 batters per nine innings last year, but knowing he's starting may at least let more fantasy owners know that they can run their Minnesota hitters out there. Bailey may surprise, but it's unlikely.
