Homer Bailey Dominates Once Again
5 years agoKansas City Royals starting pitcher Homer Bailey took care of the Twins on Sunday with another strong performance. Bailey, decked out in the throwback Negro League uniform of the Kansas City Monarchs, tossed 5 1/3 innings of one-run ball to earn the win. Bailey struck out five and only walked one, and his offense provided plenty of support on the other side. Bailey has now allowed just one earned run in his last 19 innings pitched, and he's won three straight outings. It's hard to trust Bailey, and owners probably shouldn't. His 100% strand rate over those three outings will not continue, and his xFIP over the stretch is 4.43. It's a wonderful run he's on and some desperate owners could see if it'll last through his match-up in Toronto later this week, but be wary of truly believing.
