Gunnar Henderson Records Hit, Stolen Base on Tuesday
Gunnar Henderson finished 1-for-4 and added his fourth stolen base of the season in Tuesday's 5-2 loss to the Milwaukee Brewers. Henderson posted poor numbers in April as he worked back from an intercostal strain, but the 2024 American League MVP candidate has enjoyed a rebound this month. The 23-year-old has hit safely in 13 of 17 contests in May, slashing .288/.347/.530. That's similar to Henderson's line from last season, when he slashed .281/.364/.529, mashed 37 home runs, and swiped 21 bases. The 23-year-old will look to continue his solid May in Wednesday's matchup versus Brewers right-hander Chad Patrick.
