Gregory Soto Blows Save Versus Rangers
Detroit Tigers reliever Gregory Soto suffered his second blown save and fourth loss of the season on Thursday as his club fell to the Rangers 3-1. The left-hander entered the ninth with a 1-0 lead, but after loading the bases with a pair of walks and a hit-by-pitch, he surrendered a three-run triple to Ezequiel Duran which ended up being the difference maker. Soto now owns a 3.00 ERA and 1.29 WHIP with a 23/12 K/BB through 24 IP while sitting fourth in the AL with 13 saves despite pitching on a team that is 15 games below .500. Although the rest of his fantasy output is middling, Soto remains a fantasy asset as long as he continues to work the ninth inning in Detroit.
