St. Louis Cardinals relief pitcher Greg Holland was called upon in the ninth inning of a tie game on Thursday and responded with a scoreless frame, allowing one hit and notching one strikeout. Holland was signed to be the closer, but he struggled mightily in his first few outings while Bud Norris excelled. Norris worked the eighth inning in this one with his team down a run, then Holland came in to work the ninth once the game was tied. It's not enough to declare a changing of the guard, but it shows that perhaps Holland is still set to be the closer in manager Mike Matheny's plans. Holland shouldn't be on the waiver wire and if he is, snag him now.--David A Marcillo - RotoBaller
