Chicago White Sox right-hander Grant Taylor will start for the team against the Toronto Blue Jays on Friday, according to Scott Merkin of MLB.com. Righty Davis Martin (forearm) had been slated to start, but the White Sox placed him on the 15-day injured list with a forearm strain. The White Sox called up the 23-year-old Taylor from Double-A Birmingham on June 10. He has since made four one-inning appearances and given up two earned runs on four hits with 5:1 K:BB. It figures to be a short outing for the reliever on Friday.--Connor Byrne
