Gleyber Torres Remains Out For Regular Season Finale
2 years agoNew York Yankees infielder Gleyber Torres (illness) remains out of the starting lineup for the regular season finale on Wednesday against the Texas Rangers. It will be Torres' fifth straight missed game to close out the regular season while he deals with an illness, but he should be ready to go for the start of the American League Division Series next week. The 25-year-old will finish his 2022 regulars season with a .257/.310/.451 slash line to go along with 24 home runs, 76 RBI, 73 runs scored and 10 stolen bases in 140 games played. DJ LeMahieu is getting the start at the keystone and is hitting leadoff on Wednesday, while Oswald Peraza is at shortstop and batting fifth against Rangers right-hander Glenn Otto.
