Giovani Bernard 2021 Outlook: Could Thrive With The GOAT
3 years agoTampa Bay Buccaneers running back Giovani Bernard will be playing for his second team to begin his ninth year in the league. Bernard spent his initial eight seasons in Cincinnati, where he made a name for himself based on his pass-catching prowess out of the backfield. He will now be paired with arguably the greatest quarterback of all time during his inaugural season in Tampa. With Tom Brady under center, Bernard has a chance to assume a James White-esque role and potentially produce some notable fantasy performances moving ahead. He's not a week-to-week option. However, he is an intriguing insurance policy in deep PPR formats and could have a higher ceiling than predicted. Nonetheless, fantasy managers would undoubtedly be justified using a late-round pick to acquire his services in drafts for the 2021 campaign.
