It was a rough night in the Octagon for former IBJJF champion Gilbert Burns on Saturday, as he suffered a unanimous-decision loss against Belal Muhammad in the night's co-main event. In 25 minutes of action, Burns tallied just 81 significant strikes compared to Muhammad, who landed 132 significant strikes. It was clear that Burns was bothered by a left shoulder injury, which allowed Muhammad to pick him apart on his feet en route to a unanimous-decision victory. Some have questioned whether or not Burns made a mistake in taking a pivotal fight with Muhammad just one month after he defeated Jorge Masvidal. Fans have even begun to theorize that the quick turnaround may have heightened the chances of Burns suffering an injury.--Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
