Giants Sign Big Wideout Lil'Jordan Humphrey To One-Year Deal
The New York Giants are signing former Denver Broncos wide receiver Lil'Jordan Humphrey to an undisclosed one-year deal on Friday, a source tells ESPN's Adam Schefter. Humphrey joins a Giants team after spending the last two seasons in Denver, catching 44 total passes on 64 targets for 455 yards and four touchdowns. He was much more involved last year and set career-highs in receptions (31), targets (45) and receiving yards (293) while scoring once in 17 regular-season games (seven starts). The 26-year-old's best asset is his size (6-foot-4, 225 pounds), but he's unlikely to be much more than the team's No. 4 pass-catcher behind Malik Nabers, Wan'Dale Robinson and Darius Slayton. The only quarterback currently on New York's roster is Tommy DeVito, too. However, the addition of a big downfield threat like Humphrey could mean the G-Men are getting close to adding veteran QB Russell Wilson.

Los Angeles Chargers wide receiver Quentin Johnston remains a reasonable deeper-league option for Week 2 against the Las Vegas Raiders. Johnston has enough playing time and target opportunity to stay in the flex conversation, but his Week 1 production and McConkey's improving outlook make him more comfortable in deeper formats than as a lineup lock.

Dowdle went to the blue medical tent before being taken to the locker room on a cart earlier in the second quarter. He had four carries for 11 yards and caught one pass for nine yards before leaving. Jaylen Warren should handle most of the backfield work if Dowdle can't return, while Travis Homer has already picked up two carries for 16 yards in the game.

ESPN's Adam Schefter reports that Los Angeles Rams wide receiver Puka Nacua (groin), who is listed as questionable to play in Week 2 on Monday night against the New York Giants, is "trending in the wrong direction" to be active. Schefter also reported on Sunday morning that the 25-year-old All-Pro wideout will likely be a game-time call after missing practice on Friday and Saturday with what head coach Sean McVay called "soreness in his groin." Nacua being up in the air for a Monday night game puts fantasy managers between a rock and a hard place. The latest report from Schefter basically means that if you have another decent option for Week 2 to use in a flex spot, the smart call would probably be to bench Nacua now. The Rams offense and the two-time Pro Bowler got off to a slow start in the Week 1 loss to the division-rival San Francisco 49ers last week in Australia, with Nacua catching five of his nine targets for 74 yards and no touchdowns. If he is inactive on Monday night, veteran Davante Adams will become the Rams' WR1, with Tutu Atwell, Konata Mumpfield, Xavier Smith, and CJ Daniels battling for WR2 duties. Jordan Whittington is doubtful to play due to a quad injury.

Sean Tucker Active in Week 2 Against Browns
