Giants Agree With John Ross
4 years agoThe New York Giants agreed to a one-year, prove-it deal worth $2.5 million with free-agent wide receiver John Ross on Tuesday. The deal includes $1 million in guaranteed money. The speedy wideout needed a change of scenery after four injury plagued seasons with the Cincinnati Bengals. The 25-year-old was the ninth overall pick in the first round in 2017 but never came close to living up to his lofty draft status. He played in just 27 games in four seasons and caught 51 passes for 733 yards and 10 touchdowns in his first four years in the NFL. Ross had a record-setting 4.22-second 40-yard dash at the combine, but he managed to play in just three games in 2020 and also tested positive for COVID-19.
