4 months agoHouston Astros starting pitcher Gerrit Cole could be available "in a limited capacity" for Game 7 of the World Series on Wednesday against the Nationals, according to manager A.J. Hinch. Cole was fantastic in the Game 5 win on Sunday, allowing only one run while walking two and fanning nine in seven innings. That came after he was uncharacteristically lit up for five earned runs (two homers) in seven innings in the Game 1 loss in Houston last week. Aside from that Cole has been excellent in the postseason, going 4-1 and holding opponents to a .165 average in 36 2/3 innings. If the right-hander makes an appearance on Wednesday, it'll only be for an inning or two at the most.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
