German Marquez Hit Hard By Astros
5 years agoColorado Rockies starting pitcher German Marquez successfully made his start after having to leave his last one early due to full body cramps, but he was hit pretty hard by the Astros. Marquez gave up five earned runs in five innings while striking out four. Eight hits ate him up, including a pair of home runs. Marquez hasn't been nearly as dominating this year as he was in the second-half of last season, but he's still put up a lot of good outings. While this one was in Houston and he stunk, his road ERA still remains strong at 3.53. At home, he's been blasted for a whopping 6.45 earned runs per nine innings. He'll get to face the Padres in San Diego next week, so owners should probably start him for that one.
