Geno Smith A QB2 Against Steelers
12 months agoAfter missing two starts due to injury, Seattle Seahawks quarterback Geno Smith was back in action in Week 16, completing 25 of 36 passes for 227 yards and two touchdowns against the Tennessee Titans. It was a solid performance but felt lacking against an exploitable secondary, especially since Smith shredded the Dallas Cowboys for 334 yards and three touchdowns in his last outing in Week 13. On Sunday he will face a Pittsburgh Steelers defense that has allowed eight touchdowns through the air in the last four weeks, tied for third-most in the league. Wide receiver DK Metcalf (back) is listed as questionable which could hamper the passing game, though Tyler Lockett and Jaxon Smith-Njigba (knee) are formidable threats in their own right. Smith should shape up to be a QB2 in Week 17.
