2 years agoChicago White Sox outfielder Gavin Sheets and outfielder Oscar Colas are both in the starting lineup on Friday against the Houston Astros and right-hander Cristian Javier. Andrew Vaughn will start on the bench. Sheets is at first base and is batting sixth, while Colas is in right field and hitting eighth in the order. The 26-year-old lefty-hitting Sheets should see occasional starts between first base and the outfield against right-handed pitchers in 2023, while Colas should see the strong side of a right field platoon in Chicago. Sheets has a bit of pop but has been a below-average hitter at the MLB level. Colas had his first major-league hit as a pinch-hitter on Opening Day. The 24-year-old will likely be inconsistent in his first MLB campaign, but he also has 30-homer upside.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
