Gary Sanchez Belts Eighth Homer
4 years agoNew York Yankees catcher Gary Sanchez swatted his eighth homer of the year in Saturday's 8-7 loss to the Philadelphia Phillies. Sanchez's blast was a no-doubter, traveling 407 feet at an exit velocity of 105.5 MPH. The slugging backstop now has a four-game hitting streak and has two long balls in his last three contests, raising his batting average to .224 and OPS to .754. Some of Sanchez's metrics are starting to resemble those of his strong 30-plus homer campaigns, though he would need to go on a long hot streak to reach that mark in 2021. He should still be among the best sources of power at the catcher position the rest of the way in fantasy baseball.
