Garrett Wilson 2024 Outlook: From Bust To Breakout
7 months ago2023 was supposed to be the year of Garrett Wilson. He had received a massive quarterback upgrade with future Hall of Famer Aaron Rodgers arriving in New York. Unfortunately, it all blew up in fantasy gamers' faces when Rodgers tore his Achilles tendon four plays into his Jets debut. Despite taking a step back and finishing as the WR32 in half PPR leagues, Wilson still boasted impressive advanced metrics. Per Fantasy Points Data Suite, Wilson had a 25% Targets Per Route Run (TPRR) and a 27% Target Share. These marks were better than what he posted as a rookie. With Rodgers expected to be fully healthy, Wilson is once again set up for a breakout season. The third-year wide receiver is already one of the premier route runners in the league and has enough juice after the catch to become a bonafide fantasy football star. As long as Rodgers remains on the field, Wilson is a good bet to yield a positive return on investment. Currently ranked as RotoBaller's WR7, Wilson can be drafted as a WR1 across all formats.
