Garrett Temple Leads Grizzlies In Scoring With 20 Points
6 years agoMemphis Grizzlies shooting guard Garrett Temple had another solid scoring game for his club on Tuesday night. He scored a team-high 20 points, on 5-for-13 shooting, and went a perfect 6-for-6 from the charity stripe. Temple also had seven rebounds, four three-pointers, and one assist, in 35 minutes. While his teammate Kyle Anderson got all the hype coming into this season, it appears that Temple may be the wing player to own on Memphis. This is his fourth game of double-digit scoring and he’s averaging a career high in minutes and field-goal attempts-per-game. However, owners should temper expectations on Temple a little bit, as he’s never averaged even 10 points-per-game in any season. But it's reassuring to see that the Grizzlies are playing him big minutes to start the year. As of now, he’s worth a speculative add in 12-team and above leagues, just to see if he can keep this level of scoring up. However, he’ll have a tough task to match this scoring output next time out against the stifling Utah Jazz defense on Friday night.
