1 year agoThe Milwaukee Brewers reinstated outfielder Garrett Mitchell (shoulder) from the 60-day injured list on Thursday and designated infielder/outfielder Brian Anderson for assignment in a corresponding move. Mitchell is starting in center field and batting ninth on Thursday against St. Louis Cardinals right-hander Dakota Hudson. Mitchell has been out since April 18 due to a shoulder injury that he had surgery on, so fantasy managers can't really expect much through the end of the regular season on Sunday. But the 25-year-old gives Milwaukee another outfield option as they get ready for the playoffs. Anderson had seen his playing time dip dramatically recently and was hitting only .226/.310/.368 on the season with nine home runs and 40 RBI in 318 at-bats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
