Frederik Andersen Has Strong Showing In Victory
7 years agoToronto Maple Leafs goaltender Frederik Andersen played easily his best game of the series Monday night, turning aside 40 of 42 shots and limiting Boston’s potent offense. Chief among his many saves was an incredible goal-line paddle save on Boston’s David Pastrnak as the Bruins attempted to mount a late third-period comeback. Returning home was just the change of environment Andersen and the Leafs needed to get back into this series. Game 4 will also be played in Toronto on Thursday, and starting Andersen will still come with risk, but he is a strong play if we see more like we did on Monday from him.
