Freddy Peralta To Receive Some Extra Rest
3 years agoMilwaukee Brewers starting pitcher Freddy Peralta will be given a little break to begin the second half of the season to help manage his innings. Peralta's first start of the second half is likely to come during the series against the Chicago White Sox at the end of next week. The 25-year-old right-hander also pitched in the All-Star game earlier this week, so it makes sense. The Brewers and his fantasy managers would love it if he's as dominant in the second half as he was in the first, when he went 7-3 with a 2.39 ERA, 0.89 WHIP and 135/44 K/BB in 98 innings over 18 appearances (17 starts). The first-time All-Star has never gone over 100 innings in a single season in his career, so the Brewers may look for additional opportunities to rest him later in the second half.
