Freddie Freeman In Dodgers Lineup
4 months agoLos Angeles Dodgers first baseman Freddie Freeman (finger) is in the team's starting lineup on Monday against the Seattle Mariners at Dodger Stadium despite suffering a hairline fracture in his right middle finger on Saturday against the St. Louis Cardinals. Freeman missed the series finale at Busch Stadium and was believed to need more time, but he's back in there after missing just one game. The 34-year-old surely isn't 100 percent and will be dealing with pain in his finger when he swings a bat, so it remains to be seen how effective he'll be at the plate moving forward. On top of it, Freeman has a tough matchup on Monday against Mariners right-hander Bryan Woo, so DFS gamers would be wise to look elsewhere. In single-year fantasy formats, Freeman is a must-start while entering the contest with a .292/.391/.488 slash line with an .879 OPS, 17 homers, 72 RBI, six steals and 69 runs scored in 428 at-bats.
