The San Francisco 49ers and All-Pro linebacker Fred Warner reached an agreement on a five-year contract extension on Wednesday that will tie him to the team through the 2026 season, according to sources. The extension is valued at over $95 million, including over $40.5 million in guaranteed number. The $19 million per year makes Warner the league's highest-paid off-ball linebacker, surpassing Bobby Wagner's mark of $18 million per year. The 24-year-old was a third-round pick by the Niners in 2018, and he has started every game in his three seasons. Warner tallied 125 tackles (79 solo), seven QB hits, two interceptions, two fumble recoveries and a sack in 2020 and finished as a top-15 fantasy linebacker in IDP formats.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBallerRead More News
