Frankie Montas Will Undergo Shoulder Surgery, Could Miss Season
                
        
        New York Yankees starting pitcher Frankie Montas (shoulder) will reportedly undergo shoulder surgery on Tuesday, per a tweet from ESPN's Jeff Passan. Per Passan's tweet, New York manager Aaron Boone said the surgery "could cause him to miss the season." Montas made 27 starts last season, throwing 144.1 innings combined between the Oakland Athletics and Yankees. He logged five pitcher wins in those 144.1 innings while pitching to a 4.05 ERA and a 3.78 FIP to go along with 142 strikeouts and 43 walks allowed. As of now, the American League East club's other starting pitching options include Gerrit Cole, Carlos Rodon, Nestor Cortes, Luis Severino, Domingo German, and Clarke Schmidt.
