Frank Gore Remains In Concussion Protocol
4 years agoNew York Jets running back Frank Gore (concussion) remains in the league's concussion protocol after suffering a head injury on the first drive of the game last week. At this point so late in the week, it's unlikely that Gore will be available to play in Week 14 against the Seahawks. Ty Johnson stepped up for 22 carries, 104 rushing yards and the second touchdown of his career in Week 13 against the Raiders. There's no guarantee that Johnson will have a similar performance against Seattle if the veteran Gore is inactive this weekend, but Johnson would definitely have some RB3/flex appeal as the team's lead back if Gore cannot get cleared from the concussion protocol. Josh Adams, the other backup, had eight carries for 74 yards last week and would also be involved behind Johnson.
