Francisco Lindor Scratched, Will Go For MRI Exam
1 year agoNew York Mets shortstop Francisco Lindor (side) was scratched from the starting lineup on Friday against the Atlanta Braves due to "right-side soreness," according to the team. Lindor will get an MRI exam on Saturday. Jonathan Arauz took over at the 6 for Lindor on Friday and was in the nine-hole against Braves right-hander Charlie Morton. Because of the injury, the 29-year-old will miss his first game of the 2023 season. Until we get the results of his imaging, fantasy managers should consider Lindor to be day-to-day. The four-time All-Star is currently hitting .246 (105-for-426) with 22 home runs, 25 doubles, two triples, 69 RBI, 18 stolen bases and 72 runs scored in 114 games in his third year in Queens. Lindor is in the midst of a seven-game hitting streak in which he's batting .440 (11-for-25), so it's a bad time for him to go down with an injury.
