Fernando Tatis Jr. To Adopt Two-Handed Follow-Through?
4 years agoSan Diego Padres general manager A.J. Preller said he was assured that once shortstop Fernando Tatis Jr.'s shoulder is healed, he will not be putting himself at long-term risk by returning to action, other than maybe the risk of another dislocation. The Padres are trying to have Tatis move toward a two-handed follow-through on his swing, which he naturally finishes high with his left arm. They also want him to pick and choose his spots for sliding headfirst on the bases. The Friars remain optimistic that Tatis will return to the lineup for Friday's series opener against the Los Angeles Dodgers after being put on the 10-day injured list. Fantasy managers were thankful that Tatis wasn't out for a longer stretch of time, but all they can do is cross their fingers that another dislocation doesn't occur and cause another trip to the 10-day injured list.
