9 months agoFernando Padilla returned to the win column at UFC Vegas 89 with a first-round submission victory over Luis Pajuelo. Padilla was coming off a unanimous decision loss to Kyle Nelson in September 2023. In this fight, however, Padilla was controlling the distance, tagging Pajuelo repeatedly with knees, kicks, and punches. Padilla landed a nasty combination that floored Pajuelo. As Pajuelo tried to bounce back to his feet, Padilla wrapped up the neck in a d'arce choke and finished the fight. In 2:45 of action, Padilla landed 34 significant strikes compared to Pajuelo who only landed five. --Alen Kurbasic - RotoBaller
