Falcons Undecided On Starting QB Heading Into Week 16
12 months agoAtlanta Falcons head coach Arthur Smith said he hasn't made a decision yet between quarterbacks Desmond Ridder and Taylor Heinicke for Sunday's game against the Indianapolis Colts in Week 16. Smith did say, however, that the team won't bring in another QB and won't start Logan Woodside. Ridder threw for a career-high 347 yards in last week's loss to the Tampa Bay Buccaneers but then went 12-for-20 for 157 yards with a touchdown and interception in the disappointing Week 15 loss to the Carolina Panthers. The 24-year-old also lost a fumble. Ridder has thrown for under 200 yards in three of his last four games, leaving the Falcons considering going back to Heinicke. No matter who starts for the Falcons in Week 16, they'll be a low-upside, low-floor QB2 in superflex fantasy leagues.
