Ezekiel Elliott Ruled Out For Week 8
2 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (knee) has been ruled out for Week 8 against the Chicago Bears, according to owner Jerry Jones. Things were trending this way when it was announced that Elliott was dealing with a Grade 2 MCL sprain in his knee as well as a thigh bruise earlier this week. The Cowboys are on bye next week, so the 27-year-old will get an extra week to heal up before potentially returning in Week 10 to face the Green Bay Packers on the road. With Elliott sidelined this weekend, Tony Pollard will see the lion's share of the backfield work and should be a must-start option for fantasy managers. Just like last year, Pollard has been more efficient and explosive than Elliott, so he'll have RB1 upside with Elliott out of the picture against Chicago.
