Ezekiel Elliott Likely To Remain In Dallas?
2 years agoThe Athletic's Bob Sturm thinks Dallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott's one option for employment above the NFL minimum in 2023 is with the Cowboys. "I think the answer is that given the number of analysts and scouts I have talked to about Elliott this year and the consensus opinion is in stone. He has very little left in his legs and the word is out," Sturm wrote. Elliott saw more decline in 2022 as the team's second-best back behind Tony Pollard. The 27-year-old finished with 876 rushing yards and 12 touchdowns on 231 carries for a career-low 3.8 yards per carry in 15 games. He also had 17 catches for a career-low 92 yards in the passing attack. If he sticks in Dallas, he'll be the short-yardage/goal-line back behind Pollard, making him pretty unreliable in fantasy as a touchdown-dependent weapon.
