Ezekiel Elliott, Aldon Smith Limited Wednesday
4 years agoDallas Cowboys running back Ezekiel Elliott (hamstring) and defensive end Aldon Smith (knee) were both limited participants in practice on Wednesday. Elliott should be good for Week 9 against the Steelers, barring any setbacks. Against a stout defense with a different quarterback set to be under center this Sunday, Elliott will face more stacked boxes against Pittsburgh. He's a must-start based on volume alone, but Dallas' offense is unlikely to move the ball consistently and could easily fall behind by multiple scores early. Zeke hasn't scored a touchdown since Week 5, however, and he's become more of a low-end RB1 with a lowered ceiling now that Dak Prescott (ankle) is out for the season. Here's hoping that Andy Dalton (concussion) can make his return after the Week 10 bye. After a hot start Smith has cooled off somewhat, although he did record a sack in the Week 8 loss to the Eagles.
