Evgeny Kuznetsov Ties Playoff Scoring Lead
7 years agoWashington Capitals center Evgeny Kuznetsov scored in the second period of Thursday’s Game 4 in Washington. In doing so, he raised his point total to 21, tying the idle Sidney Crosby and Jake Guentzel for the playoff lead. Kuznetsov also tied a Capitals franchise record for postseason points. With the series tied 2-2 and Kuznetsov riding a seven-game point streak, there seems to be a fair possibility that he could enter a league of his own in Caps lore. The goal was his third in three games and 10th of the playoffs. The Russian pivot logged four shots in Game 4, a far cry from his game-high 12 he had in Game 3. Kuznetsov is a stellar DFS pick but should carry one of the biggest price tags. He’s worth it.
