Evander Kane Set To Miss Start Of Season
4 months agoEdmonton Oilers left wing Evander Kane appears set to miss the beginning of the new NHL campaign. According to Oilers radio broadcaster Bob Stauffer, there is a "very good chance" Kane won't be ready for the start of the season. Stauffer mentions the possibility of surgery for Kane. This is unfortunate news, as Kane also missed the end of last season. He was unavailable for the final five games of the 2024 Stanley Cup Final against Florida after telling the media that he had played most of the campaign with a sports hernia. The 33-year-old power forward was limited to 24 goals and 44 points in 77 outings.
