Evan Carter Slugs 10th Home Run
1 year agoTexas Rangers outfielder prospect Evan Carter smacked his 10th home run of the season on Tuesday. The 20-year-old is now slashing .299/.411/.472 with 12 stolen bases through 65 games. Carter's upside is apparent, boasting a 60-grade hit tool and 60-grade running ability while still developing his 50-grade power. He posted a .886 OPS during the 2022 campaign, including 43 extra-base hits and 28 stolen bases over 106 games. Carter is considered the Rangers' top prospect and the sixth-ranked prospect in baseball, per MLB Pipeline. Though a 2023 MLB debut remains unlikely, Carter should already be rostered in dynasty leagues.
