Eugenio Suarez Starting To Swing
2 years agoSeattle Mariners third baseman Eugenio Suarez (finger), who was put on the injured list on Saturday with a fractured right index finger, has started taking light swings again with both a softer ball and regular baseballs. He's scheduled to take batting practice during the weekend series against the Kansas City Royals. "Geno feels much better," skipper Scott Servais said. It's nice that Suarez is progressing, but the reality is that he's highly unlikely to produce much for fantasy managers if he's able to make it back before the end of the regular season. At this point, the M's are probably just trying to get him ready for a possible postseason run. The 31-year-old is slashing .235/.335/.470 with 31 homers, 84 RBI and 72 runs in 2022 in his first year in Seattle.
