Erik Jones is still fully recovering from that crash at Talladega. The Legacy Motor Club Toyota driver starts the Coca-Cola 600 from the 34th position. Jones qualified 0.94 seconds off from the pole. The No. 43 car bled tenths of seconds off the turns and in practice was even more off. Jones has one Top 10 this season at Daytona. Most of his qualifying efforts do allow for positive place differential. Aside from his crash, Jones has improved in his last five races. The good news is there is nowhere to go but up for the driver. At least 400 laps heightens the potential of a Top 20 result. --Chris Wassel - RotoBaller
