Eloy Jimenez Can Make Immediate Impact If Called Up In 2018
7 years agoArguably the best prospect in the game, Chicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez should be ready to help both the White Sox and fantasy as soon as he makes the major league roster. The outfielder was the main piece in the Jose Quintana deal in 2017, and has not slowed at any level during his minor league tenure. With light-tower power and a strong eye, Jimenez offers both power and average. Don't expect him to steal many bases, but he has the potential to be the next big superstar in the major leagues. Still just 21-years-old, Jimenez reached Double-A this past season and hit .312 with 19 home runs and 65 RBI in 333 at-bats. The White Sox have no reason to rush him and start his arbitration clock, but if he continues at this pace, it is likely that the White Sox will have no choice but to give him a shot in 2018. He is a must-own in dynasty and keeper leagues and recommended in mixed leagues where he can be stashed as he can have a big impact if and when he gets his chance.
