8 months agoChicago White Sox outfielder Eloy Jimenez (groin) remains sidelined on Wednesday as the team takes on the visiting Atlanta Braves. The left-handed-hitting Gavin Sheets will make a third straight start at the team's designated hitter and is batting cleanup on Wednesday against Braves right-hander Spencer Strider. The White Sox are optimistic that the oft-injured Jimenez won't have to go on the injured list, but this is now his third straight missed game after he tweaked his groin in Sunday's game. The fact that the weather is cold and damp in Chicago probably is playing a part in the White Sox holding the 27-year-old out as a precaution, though. Fantasy managers will be hoping that Jimenez can return to the lineup this weekend when they face the Royals in Kansas City.--Keith Hernandez - RotoBaller
